The Quiet Life Of Meera

Morning sun slipped quietly through the window. In a small rented room, Meera sat near the wooden table with a warm cup of tea.  The fan moved slowly above, and the ticking wall clock was the only sound breaking the silence. She wasn’t sad, nor excited—just present. A simple existence, wrapped in silence. Meera’s life was slow and repetitive. Wake up, prepare tea, walk to her quiet office, speak only when needed, return home, read a few lines of an old book, and fall asleep.  She didn’t crave attention or noise. Her world was calm—perhaps too calm for others, but just enough for her. People around her often asked, “Don’t you feel lonely?” She would smile gently, not because she had no answer, but because her answer was too soft for the world to hear.
